LOUISVILLE CHAPTER KCCD PARTICIPATED IN TRUNK OR TREAT ON AND HAD A FUNDRAISER TO BENEFIT THE FAMILY OF SERGEANT CISCO MORALES ON OCTOBER 21, 2017, AT BRIAR HILL PARK IN CRESTWOOD, KY!

    

        

The Louisville KCCD Chapter hosted a Trunk or Treat for all Corrections families on Saturday October 21.  In addition to the Trunk or Treat, the Chapter collected donations and had a cookout with all proceeds benefitting the family of Sgt. Cisco Morales who recently lost his life in a car accident.  $1,030 was donated to his family after the event.
    

LOUISVILLE CHAPTER KCCD TO PARTICIPATE IN TRUNK OR TREAT ON OCTOBER 21, 2017, FROM 4:00 - 9:00 P.M. AT BRIAR HILL PARK IN CRESTWOOD, KY!

        

Proceeds from this event will go to help the family of former KSR Sergeant Francisco Morales, who recently passed away in a car accident.  See any Louisville Chapter Member for more information. 


LOUISVILLE CHAPTER KCCD HOSTED A CANDY GRAM FUNDRAISER FOR VALENTINE'S DAY!
        
Over $237.00 was raised and over 400 candy grams were passed out to staff, and each staff member received a candy gram.  Louisville Chapter KCCD would like to thank everyone who patronized their fundraising event!

LOUISVILLE CHAPTER KCCD MEMBERS VOLUNTEER FOR THE SHOP & SHARE PROGRAM!

    
On Saturday, February 1st, several KCCD Members volunteered at the Kroger in Lagrange assisting with the Shop and Share Program.  Shop and Share is a joint initiative of the First Lady’s Office, the Kentucky Domestic Violence Association and Kroger to collect needed goods and funds for the 15 domestic violence shelters across the Commonwealth. We volunteered for approximately 4 hours over the weekend and assisted in collecting over 6 shopping carts in donations!  Great job, Louisville Chapter!  Keep up the great work!

LOUISVILLE CHAPTER KCCD RAISES $301 FOR THE ANGEL TREE PROJECT!

        

LOUISVILLE CHAPTER TO SPONSOR A SPINA BIFIDA POKER RUN ON OCTOBER 12, 2013!

The Louisville Chapter is sponsoring a Poker Run for Spina Bifida.  Spina Bifida is the most common permanently disabling birth defect in the United States and happens when a baby is in the womb and the spinal column does not close all of the way. Every day, about eight babies born in the United States have Spina Bifida or a similar birth defect of the brain and spine.  

Please join us for our Poker Run on October 12th at Freeman's Kounty Korner Kafe in Campbellsburg.  There will be a $100 prize for the winning hand and a 50/50 drawing.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE LOUISVILLE CHAPTER FOR BEING HONORED BY SPECIAL OLYMPICS-KENTUCKY FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND FUNDRAISING EFFORTS!

                

Louisville Chapter KCCD Members shown above with their appreciation plaque they received at the Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run Kickoff in Frankfort. They were honored for their fundraising efforts and support for Special Olympics.  Louisville Chapter raised over $4000 during the 2012 year!  KCCD is very proud of the Louisville  Chapter for being recognized for their efforts to support Special Olympics-Kentucky!



Louisville Chapter KCCD participated in the recent Shop & Share Program to help provide assistance to the Kentucky Domestic Violence Association!

                    

Louisville Chapter KCCD Member Brooke Ferguson is shown with all the items collected for the Kentucky Domestic Violence Association.

On February 2, 2013, Louisville Chapter KCCD, in conjunction with the District 19 Probation & Parole Staff  and Louisville Metro Council Members, participated in the Shop & Share Program.  They were able to raise over 335 grocery items and over $100.00 in cash donations in a 4 hour timeframe.  All of the items donated will go to the Kentucky Domestic Violence Association.  Each team member volunteered their time at the Kroger located on West Broadway in Louisville.  They did a fantastic job!  Thanks again for your hard work and dedication.

LOUISVILLE CHAPTER KCCD PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO 22 CORRECTIONS FAMILIES!

This year, KCCD Louisville Chapter assisted 22 Corrections Families that applied for assistance through the Red Cross.  Each recipient received two large boxes of food, an 18-20 lb. Turkey, a $20 Walmart Gift Card, and a $15 Kroger Card.  Institution and P&P staff donated over 1,000 non-perishable food items along with cash donations.  Dismas Charities donated 24 turkeys and $250.  Community Transition Services donated $440.

Emma Ford Poker Run - A Huge Success!  (Information by Webb Strang)


On October 13, 2012, The KCCD Louisville Chapter raised over $600.00 for the Ford Family at the Poker Run. We had some VERY generous riders. Thank you to every one who came out and supported the Ford Family.
