GREEN RIVER CHAPTER PARTICIPATED IN THE 2013 POLAR PLUNGE AND RAISES $601 FOR SPECIAL OLYMPICS
!

On February 9, 2013, Green River Chapter KCCD Members Jonathan Hartman and Darrell Wheeler (shown above) "took the plunge" to raise money for Special Olympics.  The event was held at the Hines Center in Owensboro, KY.  Green River Chapter KCCD Members and private donors raised $601 to donate to the Special Olympics.

KCCD Member Jonathan Hartman had this to say concerning the successful event:
"With the support of KCCD Green River Chapter, I recently accepted the challenge and participated in the 2013 Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Kentucky.  Not only will I be taking a chilly dip in the lake at The Hines Center, but I'll be raising money for children and adults in Kentucky with intellectual disabilities so that they can have the opportunity to experience the joy of sports training and competition."

We are very proud of Jonathan and Darrell for their willingness to participate for such a great cause!
